With 760,000 hectres, Pakistan boasts the 5th largest area in the world under sugarcane cultivation. Yet it ranks number 15 in terms of sugarcane production. Clearly a 300% potential for growth, with some intelligent – low cost yield and growth initiatives.

 

As the US and NATO forces attempt to restore order in next door Afghanistan and the worst recession glooms the OECD markets, overseas Pakistanis, a prosperous diaspora of 4 million sends home a record remittance exceeding $ 10 billion each year to fuel consumption and investment.
